A responsible approach


As a European leader in transport and logistics, we wish to set an example in sustainable development. We anticipate the impact of our activities and we seek to adapt them to reflect the existing and future expectations of society.

WHY BLUE ATTITUDE?

This concern is increasingly present in our day-to-day activities as well as in our long-term strategy.
In 2008, we set up our sustainable development programme, Blue Attitude. The aim is to coordinate the initiatives conducted by the Group over a number of years.

     BLUE refers to the planet Earth and is our corporate colour.
     ATTITUDE because an efficient sustainable development policy demands the
     involvement of everybody.

Working with our CUSTOMERS in their sustainable development approach

by the implementation of innovative, performance-oriented economic and environmental solutions.

Getting PEOPLE involved and increasing their safety

by means of awareness and training programmes to encourage new ideas and heighten personal accountability.

Taking care of the ENVIRONMENT and controlling the risks

by the improvement of vehicle and facility environmental quality and the marketing of alternative modes of transport.

Involving our PARTNERS in meeting our commitments

through sustainable development supplier selection criteria and sub-contractor coaching, awareness and training programmes.

Partnering with the COMMUNITY by being a responsible actor and a good citizen

playing a key role in local development initiatives designed to involve all members of the community.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE INVOLVED

The implementation and deployment of our sustainable development policy demands the involvement of all personnel at all levels of the company, from senior management to operational level.

      - The Sustainable Development department, reporting to senior management,
        establishes Group policy and coordinates deployment.
      - In each division, Sustainable Development correspondents set specific
        targets for their area of activity and also pilot action plans.
     - Each employee is encouraged to take these commitments on board and to become a
       day-to-day ambassador of the Blue Attitude.
